2001 Porsche carrera pas module replacement

I am working on a car for a friend of mine. He had some water in the floor of the car. Curious what’s involved in swapping out the pas module located in the drivers floor??? Is there a tool that can read the eeprom/chip or old module to transfer all the data to a used module??

Anyone ever done the swap of just eeprom data from one module to the other?? It looks like this unit has a 93LC66 eeprom.
