using rain sensor to close doors Audi A4

Was just wondering if the rain sensors can be used in an A4 so that when rain falls it closes the windows. Would that entail big modification to keep rain sensors on and windows powered?

Just got a wild thought of tapping a power line from auto wipers sensor to the auto window close system when ignition is off. Auto wipers are a feature on hyundai i20 and i might try it out as soon as i get my hands on on a vehicle.
It will be a nice brain teaser buddy.

Auto wipers are found in lots of cars these days. Just wondering how much power they draw or if that will cause battery to drain.

Hey buddy
The cars are closing windows automatically when they are locked. So that will be no power loss. And while running, the power loss is negligible. Correct me if i am wrong.

I think you right power consumption might be very low but being continually active the rain sensor will draw something. Would be good to measure how much. A car left after say a month might end up with flat battery

Hi buddy
I have almost worked it out, just not practically though. The rain sensors work only when the ignition is on. The relayed power supply from rain sensors when the ignition is on, closes the window as soon as the rain starts, as it starts the wipers also. Now when the vehicle is switched off and the key is out of fob, there is no supply to the rain sensors and the windows. Now when i lock my vehicle, all my open windows are closing automatically, so it doesn't matters if its raining or not, my windows are closing. And the systems shuts down so there is no powered system afterwards.
