AEM Elite password bypass reset??

Hey guys I purchased a used aem ems ecu from another audi s4 the tune was working great but now I’m making some hardware changes and find out the ecu is locked. I can’t even log anything in order to make changes. Anyone know of a way to unlock or remove password without loosing the current tune that’s on it??? Previous owner doesn’t know it was locked and the shop that tuned it refuses to remove password so I can have tuner thats closer to me tune and make the required changes.

BDM it, probably been locked with ECUSAFE.

Its a aftermarket ecu made by AEM. I dont think ecusafe is used to lock these as its part of their own software. That being said I would assume there must be someway to get password or bypass somehow?? Any ideas where it could be stored?? Guessing eeprom of sorts.
