A3 micronas 24c32 Cluster swap help 8P0920982C

original dash has failed lcd, car still starts and can pull data from cluster.

iv got donor dash here with same part number.

iv tried service mode with xtool, write donor dash eep back obd (which suceeds) but when i try to write sec block from original dash i get security error.

what is the solution to this??

also tried with vvdi2, it lets me write donor dash eeprom back obd after service mode, but no option to write sec block.

tools i have are vvdi2, xtool and programmers.

You can just replace LCD. its easy, he is on the socket, not soldered. if they have the same numbers you can also just replace the back cover board. no service mode here, This is not VW

i have tried putting new lcd complete front board onto old cluster rear board but lcd still not light up, so the problem is on rear pcb.

ok, forget about service mode and write back ori eep. this is micronas cluster and he will not give you access to read/ edit immo data without working key. its possible only if you read flash, or with odis online...

ok what is process when read micronas? read flash on bench, write to donor micronas and write ori eep to donor epp? that full process?

I think you should be able to read the S-block, on the old.
Write to the new.
And all necessary should have been written over.

But I see you need to use J-tag, on the new second hand.
To make a reading.
