I've seen a key which I want to try out but not sure where to enter the key. I've installed CCam and also have the Dreambox Control Center so can Upload files via FTP. Please help ...

Hi m8,
just a suguestion. No need to input manual keys, if its out there someone has already put it on a key file.
So to aid you curiosity. Open any recent key file and you can check your new key againt the list there, without accidently doing some damage to the files on your box.
You can view your own box's keys using tuxbox commander from your remote in /var/keys/softcam.key
hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. What's the difference between a keylist.txt file and TMsoftcam.key or softcam.key , do they work together ? Also, after the file has been updated, do I need to reboot the receiver ?
The guy who installed my receiver installed "underground resistance" on it, I saw how he used an option to download new keys. Is that same as getting a new softcam.key ? Could someone please tell me how to access that feature ? I've spent 10-15 min with the control, not found it again... :(
I had a look in the TMsoftcam.key file and didn't see the key I was looking for so probably still need to manually add it ?
Thanks !

Could you maybe also tell me how I can switch between CCam and others ? I've got a card in it and need to get the correct encryption working

I can see the alsat key downloader and can tell it to update keys. But how can I see which keys it has downloaded ?
I'm using DCC and looking at the /var/keys folder, some keys look very old from 2003 ??
