Hi was wondering if someone could decode it for me, i have had a search around and it says only one's with bar code C70000........ can be decoded by serial but the sticker with this on has rubbed off so i can't tell.

Model PU-2325-4

286-8497-35

Serial CL0410Y0039797

i thought the same tbh would it be able to be decoded from a dump?

The question mate indicates that the easiest and Cheapest way for you would to take it to a local decoder ...

i understand what your saying but i would like to learn how to do it myself and maybe do more in the future. Would i be able to get the parts from maplins? i can solder etc and have a ok understanding of electronics if you could point me in the right direction :)

Yep ...something like that is what you need mate ... You need to check that the device list covers 93c46 rotated pin eeproms ...coz thats what's in your radio ....And it would be wise to get an soic to dip adaptor ....

Good luck mate we all have to start somewhere.

?Is there ways of doing this without de-soldering the chip, i have seen some were they just link wires around the contacts is this possible? i looked at some Im*o stuff and some of them chips look a right ball to de-solder so would you just link to the contacts read and get the dump that way?

Also is there a site or something that will tell me what radio's can be done by serial and which ones need to be decoded by dump and if so what chip needs to be read etc i have found a good site that tells you alot about IMMOBO stuff and what chips to read etc but can't really find anything on radio's
