dreambox 500c max232

most know i don't post much, sorry about that
but i am learning slowly
just got dreambox 500c and i noticed the max232 can unplug from board,
and i have two unused ambits 1/200 & 1/250, had them years lol
?, can i use the max232 from dreambox to do the biz
