Hi
I am new to this can anyone advise. I wish to download movies good quality from the internet, save them on my external hard drive, and play them on my HD TV prefer wireless but not essential using a suitable media player. Keeping cost as low as possible.
Few questions please
What are the best web sites to do this ?
Is there any free downloads available ?
What is the best source to download movies ?
Do I need any special software ?
What media centre do you advise ?

Any helpful advise will be appreciated.

there are a number of media players that play hd movies
WDTV, xtreamer, popcorn hour to name a few
if you want to keep costs low use you pc, its multi purpose plug in a 5 series radeon card (outputs hdmi 1.3) and plug it in to a receiver then to the HDTV, download the needed codecs and your done.
for movies, get a torrent client and find a torrent site

for ultra low cost get a pioneer hdmi dvd player (dv600 or 400) with USB port (or any cheap player with USB) then plug in your hard drive(fat32), you can get to play good quality avi movies but not really HD movies
