hi, i want to set up a sat dish, i live in West London (Hayes/Harlington) area- Greater London

i want to set up a Hotbird Dish either on the side of or on top of my house, to receive all channels which are broadcast on the hotbird sat.

i have read the sticky guide but im still unclear what size dish i will need. the guide was last updated in may, its not late Oct- has a anything relevant changed?

my friend has a multi LNB (Hotbird 13, Astra 28.2 and Astra 19) set up on his dish, he lives closeby but he has a 100cm triax dish

do i really need a dish that big?
would appreciate any detailed feedback on this thread

no. nothings chaged since may for sat dish sizes.
the max size you will need is 65cm, you can even do with a sky minidish(tm)[i have one fixed at 19.2e in blackpool and that works fine]. but whilst your at it you may aswell buy a 65cm dish with a ?15 astra-hotbird monoblock.
