The car is a 2009 vw golf 6 1.6tdi.
Vdo cluster with 24c32 eeprom.

I was playing around with carprog clone.
Connected car with obd a1 cable(carprog).
Pressed the change km button.
Connected with car and changed km to 240000.

Reconnected the carprog to set the km back to 130000.
Tried dozens of times but i get some kind of security error message.
Car starts fine and km is showing 240000.

I disassembled cluster and read the eeprom with upa .
I got a 4k bin file.

Can someone correct the km to 130000 on this dump.
Every help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I just read that it is not possible to correct km through dump.
Can anyone set the dump in the first post in SL7 mode?
Which software does this job?

I have prepared a fixed eeprom for you (including SL7) so please test.
If the problem persists please contact me through PM.

If it fails by OBD you should also try to program the 24C32 directly and preferably not in circuit so for sure the NEC can't access it in between.

Thank for the reply!!!

Unfortunately i did not test your solution because i managed to make it work before your post.
Thanks again anyway!!!!

For future reference i did the following procedure.

I remind you that the cluster is a vdo with 24c32 and nec chip. The car is a golf 6 2009.

1. Disassembled the cluster.
2. Behind the clocks there is a 24c32 eeprom.
3. Desoldered the eeprom
4. Read in bench with upa reader
5. Saved bin file(4kb)
6. Opened golf service mode application.(.exe file attached)
7. Wrote new file to the chip.
8. Solder back to cluster.
9.connect cluster to the car.
10. Connected carprog clone to the car through obd port
11. Wrote new km by following the programs instructions
