Help BMW ecu cloning

Hello.

I have a damaged BMW E90 pre LCI 325d Bosch Edc16 ecu. I will buy an used one, but should it be with the same code or it doesn't matter?
I can use Ktag BDM to read the old ECU and copy the three files from there to a new ECU. Is there anything else that needs doing?! What is this ISN code people talk about? Can I also use an ECU with a different Code?

if others numbers are compatible, you should first bosch number of ori ecu...
on this kind of ecu, just read backup and write backup to new used ecu...
all will work...
