Is it worth it?

Hey guys, new to the forum and looks like a great place.

Just a quick question. My son has a chipped Xbox which was banned when I got hold of it, it's all good to go for the new waves but just wondered whether you think it is worth picking up a new box at ?100-00 and modding it to play on Live. It seems that the new boxes also seem to be a pit of a pain to mod; is it worth the hassle or am I reaching a step too far just for the sake of Live?

The new liteon drives are are difficult to mod. But if you want to pay a few quid its worth it for obvios reasons
