Travis and Fratellis line up for St Andrews Day cancer concert

The Fratellis and Travis are just some of the bands on the line up list for the St Andrews Day Versus Cancer Concert.
The Attic Lights, Echo and the Bunnymen, Andy Rourke from The Smiths and former New Order bassist Peter Hook will also play the special charity gig at the SECC (Scottish Entertainment and Conference Centre) next month.

‘During our recent UK tour we met a number of young people affected by cancer. We were all incredibly moved and impressed by them and immediately started discussing how we could do something to help. This show is the perfect opportunity to do a little, and hopefully will be just the start of our relationship with Versus,’ Travis bass guitarist Dougie Payne said.

Danish band Alphabeat and Scottish group Sergeant are also in the lineup. More top acts will be announced.

The Versus Cancer gig concert venue has now changed from the SECC to Glasgow's Carling Academy, but is still on the same date.
