new vag cars with vag dash prog

HI,
does any body know for sure if vag dash prog can adjust the odometer of new vag cars 2009(skoda,passat,...)with (NEC+24c32)?I asked smelecom and they told me that this tool can do these cars but i got some feedback from some friends and they say that vag dash prog can not adjust these cars.
Did anybody tested this tool on these cars?plese inform.

no i am talking about the new 2009 vag cars.
the dash has (NEC processor + 24c32)

bit of mixed bag with the vag dash prog on these models i know2 people who have done a golf 6 nec with the service mode and 1 guy who ~~~~ed a dash and had to get a new cluster and code sync from the vw dealers..

personally i aviod doing these untill smelecom sort the bugs out

I have had mine for 6/7 months, and it has not failed yet (pretty sure it will - always make sure cust knows and that ecu and svc are adjusted 1st)

The point re: old A3 not work, that should be working if advertised, but the whole point of this unit is for the modern Micronas/NEC code secured cars. I wouldnt expect it to cover a 1996 polo - but there again, I have been doing those for years with hardware bought at the time..!

Maybe I have just been lucky, it has done every job I needed it to, svc mode sometimes, pull cluster fuse sometimes and sometimes try 2 or 3 times - but in the end it worked.

Hi,

Very good tool, do all latest a4 and a5 with VDP. Only times I have failed with Golf 7 its been a JC dash.

To resolve a few communication issues ie can error, try a firmware update, followed by full sw update, time consuming but worth it.
