Best place to understand Volvo CEM mcu binary bin files

So I want to know the best way to start to understand the process of decompiling a bin file. Let's say for arguments sake , I have a mcu a hc12x thats in a volvo cem unit. , and it needs pairing with the ecu. To make the car start. , but there isn't a calculator, script or anything like that available, but there are plenty decompilers about which can decompile the ML. But that doesn't mean much as its only showing where things are going and what happens next.

Any suggestions ? Or direction ?
