EEPROM reset should be: *2767*2878#

You can also try:
Insert your old SIM and key in *2767*3855#
The phone will shut down then reboot. Do nothing for at least
one minute after reboot.
Now type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
and then #7465625*638*00000000#
This works on SOME Samsung's but not all.
Let me know the result as there is a longer method that might also work!

Try this:
Because this is not a slide phone you will need to work out some way to power the handset (either seperate 3.7 volt power supply or external battery) as you need to insert the SIM in the middle of this routine!!
Do a custom reset:
*2767*2878# once this has finished rebooting turn the phone off.
Next a SIM card from a different service provider needs to be pushed half in - (Push it fully in then slide it back out by about 1/2 a centimeter),
Turn on the phone - you will now see an "Insert SIM" message,
Now perform a full reset:
*2767*3855#
When the phone powers off, quickly push the SIM card fully in, and let
the phone power back up.
After you do the reset, check and make sure that your Network lock is active by pressing *#7465625#
If it isn't active you must use this code to reactivate it:
*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
Then you have to deactivate the SP lock first. To do that you need to input:
*7465625*77*00000000*00000000# (this will reset the lock)
Then you enter:
#7465625*77*00000000# (to disable the SP lock).
Then you disable the Network lock:
#7465625*638*00000000#
The phone is finally unlocked.

Yes, provided you never ever make a call...
This procedure allows you to fit another providers SIM card to the handset.
Apart from using someone else's phone, you'll never get free unlimited calls unless you use two baked bean cans and a long string!

No!
Unless you write it on a piece of paper and hand it to them but even the pen would cost something!!

Inhale less! There (unless given free by the network as part of a promotion etc.) are no such things as free calls or free texts! You lose my friend, the GSM/PCN and UMTS networks have no holes, all have been well plugged and covered on concrete!

Without money not possible! You'd need some sort of account involving a monthly subscription! May be you could get a job with a cellular network? Still not really free as you'd be working for it!
8 or 9 years ago there were some pre-pay tricks to get (extra) credit, but you would still have to spend ?10 to get an extra ?10 of credit!
Your only way of getting almost free calls it to have a pre-pay SIM with a small amount of credit. Call someone and then end the call after two rings, if you're lucky they will call you back and of course they will pay! I of course personally never call back as I already know what they are trying to do!
It's time to pay up and look big!

No a Nokia 6500C can only be unlocked by:
1. Code from your operator.
2. Code from IMEI to Unlock Code Service.
3. A dealer with the correct hardware JAF, HWK or JAU etc.
I can do it for free if you're located near Cape Town!
