View Full Version : 360 flash dvd drive plz help

i want to flash my xbox 360
but havent got a sata card all i have got sata wise is on motherboard 2 sata connections 1 is being used for hard drive can i use he spare 1 to connect 360 dvd drive are wont that work do i need a separate pci sata card ??

all you can do is try it, I use onboard all the time, but i use a ide drive to boot from, so my sata ports are free, I do have a sata hdd connected to the 2nd port, but i just use that for data (no via drivers installed) data drive still works without them, I always use the primary port for 360's.

hiya i tried but when i switch the 360 on it locks up my pc just freezes straight away as soon as turn 360 on??

What drive is it?
You will be able to read the drive in dos no problem.
Some sata boards are not compatible and this is what happens when you log into windows and power up. If you do it in dos you wont have any problems.

its a hitachi drive mate where can i get the dos thing from also do i not need to go throw jungle flasher ?

just downloaded dosflash32 when i try and open it it says cant
install portio.sys driver
ps there is a file in the dosflash32 called portio32.sys
ps im using windows 7 os

Better doing that. The hitachi can be bricked.
Also the hitachi's cannot be done in dos. Only the other drives. Benq, Sammy and liteons.
