Hello! On tuesday last week I have damaged an ecu from a Golf 7 1.6 TDI while writing with ktm bench clone.
It writed 5% of the process and locked it.
I have tried to recover it with ktag, autotuner, flex but nothing.
Managed to buy another ecu same serial, hw, sw, from a Skoda Octavia.
Is there any way someone can adapt the doner ecu to old files to keep the immo active?
I have attached the files below if anyone have time to look on the files.

Managed to immo off on the second hand ecu.
Differently from the Volkswagen ecu, it seems on the Skoda ecu, the eeprom doesn't contains any immo data, since that I get "immo active" on cluster and safe instead of trip.
I hope I can revive the original ecu, have to try with ktag and boot adapter when I will get my hands on them.

This is hidden kill feature of pcm flash. You only may use version 1.1.99-2. On future versions sometimes (this is the nasty) pcm flash kills the ecu by deleting the loader from $18000 to $20000 (I believe). This "loader" is needed for bench programming. But the ecu is not dead completly. But to restore it you will need the password, which is not readable in normal mode, because the ecu is dead on diagnostic. The only tool I know, which can restore your ecu is the good old MPPS V18 in boot mode. But only if you still have the backup of your killed ecu. Connect ECU in boot mode and read the password from backup of ecu. With this password you can restore the ecu by writing the backup. If you have readed and saved the password with pcm flash via bench mode you even can restor it with pcm flash in boot mode. For this you need to activate the recovery mode in settings. Otherwise the killed area will be skipped on writing.
Good luck.
Greets MR...
PS: Why I know all that? Because I was in same situation. :-) Because PCM Flash only makes this killing sometimes (Maybe 1 of 5-10) you first dont believe that this happens with intention. But with older version (1.199-2) this never happens. Now I have original PCM Flash and its worth the money...

I have seen that the original pcm is not so expensive than the clone.
Mine is ktm bench version 1.20 with china dongle.
Anyway, what is done, is done.
Is there any way to be sure that you won’t have any problem in next ecu’s ? I have read that might be a problem with the powering supply, i was using a uni-t 5amp power supply. Should i use a battery in future? Now i am scared to do any edc17c64 or above ecu with ktm/pcm.
I will take a look on the mpps, i am wondering if it has edc17c64 on list (being a clone also).
Thanks for reply.

HI. Clone works well with edc17c 64.
before writing, you must read the password.then you can restore PCM module 53
I can transfer immo to a new block
