I need some help with this ECU.

I am getting very strange reading from this ECU
Tool used UPA-S

Chip read R5F2154AE

Read both data flash and P flash

I used the pinout from cpt the one where the track is cut and a jumper is used to short some track.
Pinout work finr for other modules though not same number but same Chipset


UPA read and verify ok but the reading strange.

Can someone please have a look?

Strange thing happening. I copied the code flash before modifying. After writing the data flash the code flash got filled with ff. I'm trying to write back the original code flash with same pinout but getting errors. Data flash can be read and written fine . Checked the connection again but can't find anything wrong.
Any idea what could be wrong?
I tried erasing then writing still no good
Tried writing without erasing still no good.

Not sure what that means. By the way this ECU has an mcu not eeprom chip.



But you are right the ID in the files i got are definitely as the one you circled. found in the renesas chip.
Please explain your conclusion.

I did one similar module sometime back modifying the data flash was enough to sort it out

I came back the next day and the upa read the code flash properly. Probably a bad welded joint
