I want to change part of my kess 5.017,
I saw on a youtube comment Murata CSTCC8M00G53-R0 when he put this piece kess it work better than before
can someone help me?

Infact I just want help to replace tutorial :) All the person who is changing he tells me that on BMW etc after this piece it works very well!
and application of kess works better after this change

I've had my kess clone for , oh I'm not sure, around 4 years now, and I've never hand to open it, it's hit and miss with clones, I've been lucky with mine, and I've done all makes and models without a problem, only once I bricked a vw touran with a free file that I got off a forum, the key is to find a good file service that you can trust, I'm not in any way running down guys who supply files for free, but that one f#$k up turned me off getting free files, there are good tuners here that will supply you proper files, ask about, someone will help you, best of luck.

The processor needs a signal of 8MHZ + up to 0.10%. The problem is that Ceramic deviation is usually 0.5% ( 5000 PPD ) where as a Quartz Crystal is usually 0.005% ( 50 PPD). Remove the Ceramic, and replace it with a 8mhz quartz such as your common 2 leg items you see, centre pad unused, orientation not important, hand solder in place, and without reworking any other single component you have made you knock off Kess 100% better than it ever was :)

Not true. Must "touch central pad" with proper components if you replace with 2 pin quartz version for good working replacement ... 3pin ceramic resonator is not same as 2 pin crystal quartz!

Shure mate. except that I always make quartz case connection to ground, this further improves stability.

Quarzt need decoupling capacitors, where resonator has them embedded, so direct replacement is not a good idea. IMO
