Hi all,

I am trying to swap out an 8P0920982C cluster (both on a 24c32) and I was wondering if anyone could help out.

I have read the original EEPROM and copied it over to the donor cluster but the car still does not start. What I have noticed is that the EEPROM looks slightly weird as I cannot find the VIN data etc on it, which I believe should be legible from the research that I've done.

Could anyone have a look and let me know if it looks wrong / how I can get a good scan to write to the donor?

Alternatively, an IMMO OFF version of the chip / cluster would suffice till I figure out how to transfer over all the data correctly.

Thanks in advance

all can be done over obd by correct tool
or full clone eeprom and mcu.................
don't forget about coding of abs

You need to read Micronas aswell in order to fully transfer immo.

Hi Rafal,

thanks for the reply. I have tried using multiple OBD2 readers which supposedly read / write eeprom but none of them seem to be able to do this through OBD2 for the A3 8P model which is why I have had to resort to using a CH31A programmer to read the chip.

I have all the ABS coding as I have VCDS.

Thanks

Hi,

is the micronas chip on the IC too, or will that be in the ECU?

Thank you and sorry if any stupid questions. I am completely lost when it comes to these things.

all in dash....................and with CH31A programmer you will not able to do anything m8
if you lost abs coding - vcds will not help you to get coding back - only if you rewrote on paper - then recode by vcds ok

As rafal and lupu_sandu said, you have to read old 24c32 (eeprom) and cdc3217g (micronas) in order to adapt/clone new cluster.
Both IC's contain immo data.

Thank you all. I might have managed to pull out the data after all. Will these files work for reprogramming?

If so, do they need to be combined and written to the 24C32 chip or do both need to be written to the respective chips seperately?

Thanks again!
