Test instrument cluster GM

Does anyone know if it is possible to test an instrument panel via CAN network with OPCOM (GM panel) outside the car, feeding the panel and OPCOM with a power supply? Test pointers and spy lamps. Thank you very much.

Not sure but have you looked to see if there is a self test mode. Some vehicles can be initiated by holding trip reset button down whilst turning on ignition. Keep holding for about 5 seconds and see if it starts testing. Then press again to cycle through tests. Goes back to normal after key off. There could be other methods. Check the owners manual for instructions.
