Hi Brothers
ihave probleme after my pc is infected and try to installed new windows and telecharger setupiterface common + setupiterface common 1
+ setupiterface common 2 but not working idont have original dvd or instalation with SetupInterface 17xxxx.exe.

Please help me

Abrites have increased prices for AMS.

Now AMS is again more expensive!

Updated AMS fees, valid as of today, are as follows:

• AMS standard rate: 300 EUR
• AMS renewal date is from 2 to 6 months after expiration date: 450 EUR
• AMS renewal date is from 6 months to 18 months after expiration date: 600 EUR
• AMS renewal date is more than 18 months after expiration date: 800 EUR

If avdi is basic there is no point in updating ams , it 's easier to buy a new updated hw .

or if you buy new one same list too

Don't forget to tell other side of story about Abrites, how they shaft existing customers when their AVDI goes faulty and stops working like mine has.
They refused to offer any repairs to my interface unless I bought AMS and because my AMS expired over 18 months ago the price to renew is currently 800 euros!!

If I buy a brand interface they want 200 euros just to transfer my special functions over to new interface, plus they also want me to return my old interface to them. If old unit is not returned the price to transfer is 500 euros. WTF.

Abrites are without doubt the greediest company I have ever dealt with. I now have a useless interface and special functions which I cannot use unless I bend over and pay what they demand. I'm disgusted by way they are treating customers.

If anyone is interested, there are 6 holes on Abrites AVDI pcb where pins can be inserted to access the onboard programming of Pic33 chip. I used a pickit3 to access chip but although the chip configuration can be viewed, the main code segment has security enabled and the program shows as all zeros. So no chance of reading and copying program from blown chip into new one.

The onboard battery seems to be connected to the main MCU MAXQ1103 which I assume stores the interface ID and other data. If battery is removed or disconnected I guess all configuration data would be lost and only Abrites could reprogram Or maybe need new software links to reflash chip.

So looks like my dead interface will either go in bin or back to Abrites if I can stand spending over 1000 euros for a new one plus software transfer fee and shipping....

I know it's terrible the way they rip off customers. They are virtually forcing users into keeping AMS current or pay 800 euros if it expires for more than 18 months. Some users like me only need to update every few years as I only use my avdi for occasional use. If I was using it for business then I would benefit from frequent updates. Anyway, I'm going to return my dead interface and exchange for new one, which is going to cost plenty of money :confusion:
