View Full Version : VW Crafter Immo problem after ECU change.

Hello.
ECU: EDC17CP20

I have a VW Crafter which ECU got burned, I bought an used ECU and wrote the files from the old ECU, but the car is not starting for some reason?
I have a car with key warning in dashboard.

The car doesnt start at all.

Is there anything I have done wrong?

I was wondering, can I do Immo OFF on this car and start it with the key?

Can someone help me do IMMO off on my file?

Is it the EPROM file?

I attached all the reading from original ECU here.

edc17 is not like 16............... copy / paste
need to be moved immo from ori to donor

Did not work unfortunately, car cranks more but still doesnt start, still key warning in dashboard.

if it was immo issue it would start and shut , if not starting at all you have other issue, probably ecu not compatibile

Post Eeprom and Flash of both ECUs, Original and Donor.
And check on Ecu label if HW number is the same.

I do not have the old ECU here so I dont know the HW number, but the original number is same

I attached the original and new ecu files, can you check that?

Write this MPC and EPR files.

Write this adapted Eeprom and also ORG MPC and ORG FLS to your Donor ECU.

Thank you, when writing the MPC file, it asks for original file for comparing, I choose the used ECU MPC file, and it says checksum error.
When choosing the ORG MPC file for comparing, it writes, but car still doesnt start, it started once and turned off, and now only cranks, but the good is that the key warning in dashboard is gone.

Is it because of wrong checksum on MPC file?
