I fully agree! it takes more time to wait for the key and Odis is needed online to register. This is how I do it and the price of the key is not high and it is already carved by vin. It's the right job.

No solution only some tricks, first of all you must have V5 papers in your name, dealers lot cheaper than those who ask over 500 nikers, go to dealer and ask for MQB dealer key for around 200, 220 nikers, then after 2 days go back to dealer and tell them we could not programme the key, they will book your car to programme key, ask AA or tow the car to dealer and they will programme keys for you, total cost under 300 nikers, remember do not take your car as lost key they may charge you more.
