Hello everyone. I have swapped a Dme for a Mini Cooper manual transmission, the dme was used and from an automatic trans. I have cloned it, the car started fine, vin is ok too. But the only thing is that the check engine comes on with a fault code for EGS, apparently the Dme is looking for an EGS. I have cloned it with the KTAG. Any suggestions? Or what tool do I need to get this error taken out?

with bmw/mini best is to get exact same ecu, if not you can expect these problems
so in short, dont use bosch replacement list

I’m using the same part numbers. But why is cloning not doing the job? No other way to correct this issue?

Internal control module fault code. The used unit is fine, except for the EGS code

Hi, what kind of ecu do you have? What's your mini model and year ?

You should try coding ecu with correct VO taken from the CAS

How can I do this and what tools are needed?

Depends what mini you have..
If it's châssis R, you need ncs expert.
If it's châssis F, you need esys
Or any other good quality diagnostic like launch, autel for example

It’s a R and I do have the NCS

i have tried autologic and autel, no luck. the code is not going away.
