5Q0 959 655 AA - Problem with software

Hi,


A friend came in with a customers car today.
SRS is for Golf 7 - 5Q0 959 655 AA
The original SRS module is water damaged.


The new used one is same numbers but this guy had installed it in car, and tried to reset/update its software i believe.


Now i got the "job" but i actually just want to help him out.


Managed to read full Flash + Dataflash and Shadow of original unit.
Wrote the files to new SRS module. Got 23 errors but none of them component protection - ALSO - could not erase DTC's. VCDS or any other diagnostics didnt allow me to do so. Tried to erase crash (car not in accident) in several ways but didnt help, same issue.


Wrote a file from internet - Then i got ONLY 3 errors, one of them component protection and 2 for belt tensioner.


Can anyone have a look at the files please ?

If i was doing that job i would start by matching the vin number of the module to the car

Well the thing is, i read the original module wich was water damaged in full, and write its files to new one so shouldnt vin be the same ? If not vin is stored in shadow but there i cant see vin.

I would have tried to recode it using odis online

Yes that i know as well but i want to do it without odis because my software is kind of messed up.

Problem is solved by manually doing work on the original file.
