BMW 525d 8AT 2.0 165 kW 2015 (G30/G31) - TCM Bosch 8HP50 stage 1

Hi,

I need information is it necessary to remap gearbox tcu to stage 1 level if engine ecu is going to be remapped to stage 1?
Car is BMW 525d 2.0 165 kW with ZF8HP50 gearbox.

Some guys say that it needs to remap tcu so I'm checking because maybe will tune this engine ecu with kess3.
Is it better to increase torque limitations?

The limits you need for stage1 are in the ecu.

considering its a 165kw version, gearbox will not like that extra NM....id be carefull with that tune. check ur gearbox version. only ones that can take more than 500nm are hybrid versions. who told u gearbox tune is needed was right. it needs increased clutch pressures. but still i wouldn t tune this more than 500nm. already car is at maximum NM limit. good luck

Understand, but havent worked on that car which asked me one customer, maybe need in future time.
