Hi there,

I got 2000 Mercedes CL500 all keys lost, when I was there the costumer told me that someone was there yesterday toke the eis to the “shop” and come back after few hours and said he can’t do it,

I tole the eis out and saw that they toke one of the Motorola chip out but the eeprom was damaged, most of it was empty, so I read the other Motorola chip and got the right information,
I wrote the good eeprom on the first Motorola chip that was damaged and soldering both chip back,
I made a key with vvdi mb but the eis not responding,

I tried to connect it to the car and nothing, tried to give the eis power on table and still nothing, also tried to read it with ir and nothing.

There is option that the other locksmith damaged the eis?
I did right with the writing eeprom back to the damaged chip?

It's much cheaper, just to purchase a new key from the dealer.
For the customer.
Rather than purchasing a new EIS, and then also a new key.
Maybe the car is not worth so much, either.

The shop who did this.
Should know the risk, when doing these jobs.
Hard to prove, all of this now.

In many of these 220's, only a cable connect to the EIS.
Would be able to read out the info.
But surely not all, I guess.
I bet there is some versions, which is not able to do it like this.

I know when people playing with ECU kits, on the W220/W230.
They still get in trouble, sometimes.

So not an ideal situation this.
