Honda SRS with TMS320

How to connect the Reset Tool to SRS unit as in shown in this picture?

Hi

I personally have never used it before although i have this tool but never required to use it.

But, as per the instruction you have to plug it in to OBD2 plug and put the Ignition to ON position and in 3 to 5 Sec it should reset it self than put Ignition to OFF position and unplug the tool.

Hi, I saw this picture, also. I would like to put something together to do the same... Did you have any luck finding the schematics?

picture shows airbag ecu being reset on the bench not thru obd any body used it like that?

I worked a week with this unit and the machine - Accord of 2001.
Nothing sensible not work, exchange of data on k-line goes, but the unit does not reset.
In the SRS reseter is CAN bus used, can be another SRS unit will work there...

I used it a few times... once, did it work... the other times, there were other problems, but once those others problems are fixed, I imagine it will work on them, also. The two customers never called me back, so I assume my diagnostics was good and the crash data cleared.

i just got one from my friend ,havnot tested yet.but if every thing was repaired above menstioned models after crash,honda HDS will reset the srs light,i just did two yesterday.one was acura intergra and 01 civic.

MY OPINION:
I have one of those "TMS" reset tool, and it never worked.
Maybe i just bought from wrong company (don't remember what china sh*t it was). i paid $99 for it and try on several cars.. no one was worked.... Don't waste ur money...
If u want work on TMS, buy CARPROG... (original) That's not advertising !
I got one and it's just like a charm! Plus support and updates.
Also hardware is developed that u don't need to solder wires for different eeproms... That thing have relays, which switch for correct eeprom!
U can't do mistake with that...

I have two of these (one I have out on-loan), but to clarify, I have used it to clear on 3 cars since last I posted. Two other cars had other problems and not just crash data, but they never called me back so I assume it worked on those also.

It only works on specific models:
01-05 Civic
02-04 CR-V
02-06 Acura RSX
01-02 Acura MDX
03+ Pilot
99-02 Accord
02-08 Element

This list may not be comprehensive, but that's what I found online a while back.

Could be done either way... thru OBD plug, or yellow connectors on the module.. No need to open it...

in the car... I originally found posted in this thread because it would be cool to do on the bench. Then, the customer wouldn't think like it only took a minte... why the charge....

Either way, this tool (both that I bought) was a waste of money--until the one time I use it, then, i feel all better....

i know what in your accord did not work, cause, +12v, DIAG, AND GROUND ARE IN different position, check wire diagram in the ecu position(pin out), i made the way to work, ( ONLY IN ACCORDS,) element, acura, civic works fine,:hmmmm:

I have original carprog but don't find tms320 in there. Neither on codecard.lt website. How I'd you get tms320 for carprog ??
