Hello!

If I make full backup with separate files and modify one file and correct that cks. Then make full restore with ktag backup file. Will ktag correct that cks again on that modified file? I was thinkin is it possible to write that file as it is using that backup file? :hmmmm2:

it depends on which program you are using to do checksum, some checksum patch are the same that ktag do (then ktag wil not correct checksum during writing)...some others checksum patch are different, then ktag correct checksum during writing...but this second correction make checksum bad during writing...you need to choose the best way to do checksum...with program (then you need to disable checksum during writing by the tool) or by the tool directly without any correction from program.

There is possibility change chks calculation method compatible with ktag.
Anyway at backup chks is not calculated.
To be more pro better is trasdata.

Ok, so I can modify a separate backup file and ktag won't correct checksum during restore. Thanks!

I'll see that Trasdata. I haven't checked that at all.
