Problem Volvo 2016-2021 key programming

Have customer with Volvo V90 year 2018 have the new kind of key with buttons on side, removed ECU and read with Autel IM508.
Before programming want to check if any of you have any experience? Anyone ? J

Thank you Lupu, this car Volvo V90 year 2018 had CEM MPC5646C with chip SC667320 (ON40P) in Autel schematic was for Chip SC667320 (ON32E). Is there any difference between MASK ON40P and ON32E ?. We have done one V90 year 2020 before and that went good. My mailbox is now clear. Regards J

I already write on my previous post. Autel working ok on SPA. I made few S90/XC90 with IM508.

I bought Volvo module for ACDP and never used but there was note that must read front and rear BCM or you may have problrm with keyless function on the original key

Now I see that few people said that they programed the keys reading only the front BCM and Im confused

On SPA platform there sre no back BCM.
Only CEM above pedals.

Correct, only CEM above pedals. We did one Volvo V90 year with autel IM508 and XP400PRO. That one was MPC56446C and Mask 0N32E. Now we have exactly same car Volco V90 year 2018 with MPC56446C but Mask 0N40P. Told car dealer I could not risk it, I am I stupid? Autel says Mask 0N32E, can not find anything about Mask 0N40P. Maybe Manta can say if ACDP mini has anything?

There is no mask related issue on these CEM's.
If you choose the right MCU there is no problem

Thank you Lupu, did you have different MASK? And made key? like we had 0N40P. in notes it says it should be 0N32E when choosing MPC56446C. Regards J

No definetely you're not, I like that way of thinking and approach to a job. Many people do not care and make tests on customers cars. Although I'm almost certainly sure different mask is not a problem and Autel will read it without any issues, I would still have some hesitation also. Can you tell me is it difficult to remove CEM from V90? Have car dealer with Volos, sure those cars will come to me one day.

Thank you all, to remove cem on a V90 year 2018 it is not super difficult but little tricky, tight. Takes about one hour, better is if you have small fingers. To be honest, I was on the way to give up. Modules for keyless system volvo before 2016, the remote with 6 buttons. If you are in a hurry, I think you have to remove CEM and KVM. But so far we have done them with TDB1000, takes up to 9 hours to retrieve the pin. But no job, let it stand at night and in morning, done. TDB1000 is great for this volvos. Must have battery support on takes 5-6 Amps. We are only using TDB1000,not TDB750 or TDB760. 100% succes rate on volvo with TDB1000. J

The 1000 is the main tool.
Which have lot of other brands as well. Its OK for a workshop to leave it in the garage. To the next morning.
But this is not how everyone of us work.
If it has been towed to the workshop.
The money drain is already started, for the customer.
Can be quite expensive sometimes.
So most cost effective way, is to go out to the car. And do the job there.

You really do not want to leave this tool, at a dodgy neighbourhood for 7-18 hours. The TDB1000.
With a charger ON, outdoor.

So it is better with the small OBD black piece.
You can also set a small sticker on it.
Then it will not, flash and lighten up.

The charger, you place in the engine room.
And close the bonnet.
And lock the car doors with a key, you have as a spare. Or you made it from lishi.
And take the key with you.

Walk away.
And the next day.
It should be sorted.
If not some smartie, have removed the battery charger cable.
Happed to me. :)
Then had to start, at scratch again.

Can I buy 760 only or do I have to own TDB1000 also? I have other tools for this, done plenty for car seller but im just curious. KVM removal on XC60 is a nightmare.

TDB 750 non prox and TDB760 is for prox. Just remember battery must be very good when using them or very good powersupply. Otherwise data gets corrupted and you will not be able to make keys with any tool. probably must have volvo Dice to reset cem. Just buy TDB1000 with volvo module and you be happy . Also good support by app and asset, data base like mykeyspro, very good. J

Standard key and Keyless support - does not support the newest things.
Only up like 2016 +/- old stuff models.
Mostly 2007-2016.
The new CN Volvo models - not supported yet.

Hello Weasel, about the TDB750 and TDB760. Did you have 100% succes with these? TDB750 we send by mail to customer six times, 3 times it did not work out of 6. CEM got corrupted and it did not matter what instrument we use, TDB1000, Smart PRO, XTOOL and so on. Customers did not use battery support and the 3 volvo cars that did not work, probably had bad(not so good) batteries, not enough power? That is my idea? What do you think? Anyone?
