mercedes E CLASS EEPROM 24c16

I have a customer who wants a new cluster put into his e class w211 , instead of coding the new cluster can I just swap the 24c16 eeprom ? does that hold all the data I need including VIN etc

For good job , better reset to 0km then autorization and if necessary manual coding fix .

In 211 odometer replacement, a correctly coded odometer is 00 km SSID removal and SD encoding .Regards
