Hello everyone, I received a Golf IV, apparently imported due to the type of instruments it has (VDO 110080134/002) with speedometer problems, FIS and sometimes it doesn't start.
The client brought me the only piece of gasoline he found and with 260km/h. But this is a MotoMeter 1J0920821A.
The easiest idea was to pass the information from one memory to another, but when opening, the VDO uses 93C86, the MotoMeter 24c02.
I have managed to decipher that the Motometer is an Immo2, with pin 1414, km 223232. For the VCO it has more than 200,000 km, it seems that the pin is 8992.
I can't find the exact place to collate the data.
Will it be possible to pass the data from one to the other for it to work, or will I have to try to repair the VDO and override immo?

Thank you

Forget about this old dashboard. 1st you cant get an immo2-dash working into immo3 car. Second you would get can bus problems. The old dash only has CAN drivetrain. The newer (original) dash has CAN drive, komfort and infotainment. Third you should try to get out, whether the problems really is the dashboard!!! This VDO-Cluster normally never make trouble. Speed problems often are sensor or wiring problem on golf4. If car not start you mean immobilizer related? This would mean start and die. Otherwise leave VDO dash in car and search for the real problems...

Thanks for your reply.
The speed problem is not always done, a road test was carried out and in real values the speed is running, but the needle does strange things or stays at 0. When I perform activation tests, the needle worked well. The FIS screen, when heated loses pixels, when cold it rarely does. The problem of the immo, the fault it gives is in the motor, as the information from the instruments is not correct, but in the instruments there is no fault. I had a case in Cordoba, Polo, Leon. The frame gave me some problem. The customer brought this part to try to fix everything in one go.

Speed problem is sensor problem for sure. Or wiring. Easy fix is switch the dash to speed over can. This should work on this car without problem. You can take a look to measuring value for speed while driving. Display problem is in dash of course. Immobilizer you should look at measuring blocks 22, 23, 24. Is Immo lamp blinking? Start the engine and dies? Or doesnt start at all? You can change the dash of course, but not with this old one. Just pick one from ebay with same part number. But this will not fix your speed problem for sure. You can make a test: Screw out original dash, but leave it connected, start the engine, if immo is working at this moment. When engine is running, just disconnect dash, connect your 821-dash and make a test drive. :-)

Before you ask: To switch dash (826) to can speed, take a look at offset $64. There is an $80. Change it to $81 or $82, I´m not sure, test both. Check on measuring block 201. K-Value like 3xxx (4digt) is sensor, 2xxxx (5digit) is CAN.

Good luck and happy playing...

The road speed reading is already done, in the speed values when the indicator fails.
The immo problem, the light goes off as it detects the key correctly, the engine starts and stops, giving a communication failure with the instruments. I only do this sometimes, it's not always. I managed to cause this failure once in the workshop, I entered the instruments and there was no communication, when I removed the key, put it back in and tried, the problem did not return.

Fixed.
I found a VDO diesel and 220km/h, reprogram everything, change the stickers to gasoline and 260km/h, ride and go to work.
Greetings to all.
