:dontknow:

Hi mates. I did have to pick the car mentioned above here.. today. Customer did call electricity was all down during driving..
I did drive to the car..and saw that the belt from alternator was off. It was not broken and could see no damage at the belt. So battery was totaly empty. I did charge slowly with my servicecar the battery ( did not putt belt on alternator )and after 15 mins did start the car and we did drive to garage. But after 1 KM car did stop again...battery empty. So we did decide to take car to garage by ambulance. At garage i could not lock the doors anymore. But after that i did pull off cables from battery and did recharge it. Did connect the battery and stept into car and did start. At that moment i saw immo will not go off. ( there is a button in the middle from the dash near the blowers in the middle, that led did flash still.. even when start ). Car did start..but not running. Did login with diagnosetool >> Cannot communicate with the EDC ( means error..) >> Did login into instrument ( dash )..faultcode >> No communication possible with BSI !!!! i did cleared the faultcodes..they not come back...
But i cannot let run the car...the led will be always flashing.
It is possible while battery totaly down he lose all info about the keys ?? ..btw..the chips are in the key..( and i could drive with it 1km...

Engine : 2.0 HDI enginecode>> RHS

Who can help me ?????

Regards PAB :ciao:

I did check all fuses at the left from the steeringwheel ( the BSI )
I did check all fuses under the hood at the second fusebox >> the little ones and the big ones ( 30, 40 and 70 Amp. )
They are all ok. ( did pull out..did check connections and fuses )

battery went low and corrupted the bsi software you will need p planet to sort it out. you can use same keys but u must get pin number for car as it will need to be re-written, then re-configure bsi , very easy to fix if you can get hold of pp

what year of production has this 307? early 307 models were supposed to loose all BSI software at low energy stages. in your case, the faulty battery and the several attempts to restart the engine could have caused the information loss on the BSI.

If BSI operating software is gone, and I have seen this several times, especially on cold winters, the BSI is now in virgine mode ( like it is brand new ), so I cannot see how you could rewrite the BSI software without paying a visit to a local dealer and flashing the BSI automatically by the help of Telechargement function.

Hope you'll solve it the easy way.

Hi mate..
i did get today the PP planet etc. Did install software etc.
Sofware is running. So i could not give a feedback yet till today...

I cannot pass the ECO mode..
Software says : When car is in ECO mode...then start the car...( car will start ofcourse,..but will not run )..
yes idid get qqqqqqqqq..or ffff...when did log in..he did ask : Correct ??.. i said no...and did fill in the right vinnumber.
He did ask me some more...to fill in a 4 digit number i did search it at the car from a sticker...that all okay
Then i log in via PP 2000...and go to reprogramm BSI ( intelligent..etc. )...but it sya all time....no connection..
I think it because the car is still in ECO mode...
so i not know how to pass the eco mode.

i will first try to reboot is mentioned here before..

Hi mates ... did reboot....
but as mentioned under here from bba..i not sure wich key they mean...because at the middle from the dashbord there is a central locking button with build in the flash light from immo..

But i did try to reboot....did not work..

Before sending the unit try the BSI Reset procedure as this may cure your faults:
Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.
Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.).
Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.

!!!!!!!!!!Remove key open & close door test central locking system.!!!!!!!!!!!

Start the engine and complete the system's check.
Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items.

Hi PAB

If you have already put the Vin Number in, than go into Key Programing and program all your keys, than go into Configuration and configure your BSI with all the systems you have in your car.

Like what type of ABS system with ESP or Without ESP,Electric Window, Central Locking, Electric Mirrors, etc etc.

Than try starting the Car and once car starts the Eco Mode will go it self.

And one thing to remember is after you have selected PP2000, start with Global Test and than pick BSI system from there.

Hope This Helps

if your getting ppppppppppp in the vehicle id then bsi must be talking otherwise comm error would be displayed , eco mode is active because nothing is configured program vin and the pin (make sure the correct pin is entered and learnt by bsi it cant be changed easy)follow what ash said he's right and it should work

Hi Mates....

The car.......is running......
My nose too...have flu...so you see everywhere where i did walk...hahah
Oki ;
1 I had a technical fault at the diagnostictool...that why i could not login.. i did try with lexia...even could not login...then i did let come other car...did login with same tool and laptop....could login...30 seconds not anymore..

Did call my friend ( good we have he')..he has same tool.
So did login with his tool and his laptop...and YEP....could login.. I did reprogramm first the whole BSI..( not online and without to go to a dealer or something )

At that time i did stop...and loged in with MY laptop and the tool from friend...I could login..hahahah...so my software was okidoki...

After that i did login into EDC..saw many faults but could not erase them...( no connection possible )
But i was far enough that I could paired the BSI with the ECU..
After that i did re-learn and programm key ( have just one,.. the other will do later time )..

Did wait 30 seconds as pp tells..putt key in and start..and yep the car is running..

i am not sure if i did telecom all right..because it was not possible to do automatic tele
So tomorrow will check all again..but the car is running...WITHOUT ANY DEALER OR WHATEVER..

IF PEOPLE WANT TO HAVE THE SOFT..THEN LET ME KNOW...I WILL MAKE TIME TO UPLOAD
Peugeot version 22 and Citroen 345

Thanks to all who did give me advise..

So at this time..the reboot did not help...

You were lucky as the BSI lost only its coding and learnt keys, the software was not affected, that is why you managed to start the engine after teaching the keys and have all the coding done, even if it wasn't automatically coding.

But I have found more than 10 307's that at low energy stages, when the driver desperately tried to start the engine, lost all the BSI information, including software. It had to be flashed through Telechargement procedure, only after this I was allowed to do the coding and key teaching.

One more thing: when you try to interrogate the engine ECU and you are not able to erase ECU faults or to view parameters, then the ECU is locked by the BSI. Don't search anywhere else.
