2017 Ducati Scrambler Icon AKL shitshow

This duke has 24c16wpchip, STM. Read x3 with xp400pro , data is good. Tossed it into tango just to see if it would verify the file, it did. Used 608 and xp400 wrote 4d63/6e DST80 chip. saved file, wrote back and reread3x verified file written successfully. Bike displays immo error, no crank no start. Customer has no pincode to try bypass, never set it up.

So that didn't work....

Wrote original file back, verified written successfully, stuck original file back into tango and wrote 4d chip x key 1, save and reopen produced file to write chip 2. wrote chip 2, saved file again, wrote this last file to board and wrote 3x read 3x, written successfully. Same ~~~~in thing.

So repeated the process by reading writing with tango then xp400 with cn5's as well. Don't have any lpk-02's so there's that.

I'm running out of ideas here.
Also when writting the eeprom I'm going under programmer ST >M24C16 not ST>ST24c16

WTF am I missing here?! is tango AND autel full of it? does no one have a choice to handle this except tmpro mod 197?

I'm at a total loss for words on this situation and don't even know wtf to do now.

Any help would be much much much appreciated.

dunno about this, but for the future: If you dealing with s.hitty programmers you MUST need backup with another prommer too to avoid similar situations or buy some well proven prommer

I've read a datasheet for this eeprom and it recommends soldering a resistor to use as a pull-up, but I can't find anyone referencing the same thing online and no one who claims they've done it successfully can verify technique.

Also wrote chip with prog, 24c16 isn't exactly a complex eeprom so I'm confused as hell what the issue is.
