W245 ELV RENEW/REPAIR

Hi all.

I have 2 W245. W169 REF in EIS and ESL for repair. The first work only with change motor. The second was stuck in mid position, between open and closed. I remplace motor without success. I bought new ELV from donor. and try renew with VVDI MB without success. i tried with simontouch esl doctor lite but dont support this ELV. any can help me to renew this with vvdi mb? can swap nec and this work or nec must be repair like w204?

Yes, car are running with emulator, but car cannot pass anual vehicule inspection without steering lock. Then i need repair or remplace the ELV.

How in the hell will not pass MOT? If you car have 7gtronic will not have ELV from factory and so then? Will not pass MOT at all?
Guy from MOT will run a vin check to see if car have 7gtronic and not have elv from factory?
This is stupid!

They really are stupid, dont think, only if elv dont block car not pass. some cars in scrawyard status pass this, and others do not pass the review because they do not have water for the windshield wipers or a burned out license plate light. But we cannot change this

I would not accept that.
This is not a theft security issue, when cars fail.
Due the poor quality of products.
Can not be blamed, and passed on to the car owner.

Still got the immo security in the EIS and ECU.
A low cost solution, is absolutely necessary.
In cases like this, when car is old.
And not worth more than, the car spare part and work hours.



This is a case for the government, in each region and country.
Should be taken to court in the EU.

I ask on previous post: If the car do not have ELV from factory (bmw with 8hp, benz with 7 and 9gtronic) you don't pass MOT?
How that guy know if car have elv from factory or not? They run a vin check?

It depends on how lucky you are or they pass it to you or they even ask you for a brand certificate. I had a story with a 2005 fiat dob with the typical speedometer that does not exceed 300,000km. It is already known by all that this odometer does not exceed 300,000km, because we restarted it at 100km so that it would start counting again and they wanted fiat to write them a letter affirming the limitation of the speedometer. After talk with the head of the station, they agreed to put a scrap speedo with 140,000km. Without sense.

Solved, If help to someone, I remplace nec from original for donor and this work like a charm! Nec not blocked like W204 atleast in this ELV.
