I have an Audi A4 and A6 of the same year and engine code. 1.9tdi AWX.
The A6 has been remapped correctly by a offical tunner.

I was thinking, could some how read both ECU's then compare them and then upload the modified file back into the A4?
I know there are differences betweem the two ECU's when i'm using VAGCOM.
I'm awaiting the arrival of VAGDASHCOM for some dash swapping, could i use this to read the flash of the ECU's?

038 906 019 FP (A4)
038 906 019 CF (A6)

Any help or pointers would be good.

not quite as easy as that, you will get the general jist of differance between the files.........but it wont translate correctly as they most wont be 100% the same and the addresses for the maps will be differnt, with out using good software you would find this a very time consumming project to even just allign the circa 15 maps you would want to compare. you would also have no way of correcting the checksumm.

Maybe WinOLS would help with map recognition and checksum calculator?

Another steap learning curve approaching.

Reminds me of my megasquirt days.
