HiA few times i saw bad readings from ECU. Was wondering what could be the cause of bad readings.
Among possibilities
Would it be poor solder joints?
Wires that are too long?
Bad quality readers?
Not appropriate voltages set?

Any possible causes you might think of?

Hi M8, witout knowing what tools are using its really difficult to guess....many times bad computer and mostly cloned tools are the problem.
Regardss.

Hi
I got different readings from an eeprom with UPA -s. Happened only once but happened. Was original UPA.

HiSituation 1 eeprom desoldered and read with UPA -s. Read with no errors. Switched computer off next day i read again some bytes changed. Read 5 more times no changes after.
Situation number 2 using iprog clone. Read eeprom desoldered from board. The readings from the dump file do not match the numbers written on the airbag ECU. Very close but some numbers are interchanged. Read few times same reading.

Reading eeprom outside the system is always to be the same .No matter what programmer we read
Of course, it happens that the readings differ, but in most cases this is due to the lack of correct contact programator memory

Hi
That's my understanding too but surprisingly it was different readings. And it wasn't just replaced by 0 or FF
I'll look and post the two readings if anyone is interested

here is a tip, use a programmer with pin connection control

Hi
You mean individual voltage setting for each pin? What progammer has pin connection control

programmer will test if every pin is connected, TNM5000/7000, Beeprog, Batronix BX48, more...

Thanks
Think Iprog does that too. Just not so reliable the clone.
