New EIS Mercedes w204 - vvdi mb tool

I need to replace the ignition with another one in Mercedes in 204. I have a vvdi mb tool. Is it enough if I renew the EIS or do I also need to renew the engine computer?

only eis,read old eis,virgin new and transfer data

There is no communication with the old EIS. I have another EIS renewed and a key made. On the table the program says that the key fits the ignition but nothing happens in the car
