I am trying to stream avi files from my laptop to the tv. I have tried the same method with my pc and it works perfectly but the problem is that I am not able to forward or rewind through this method. So i decided to try to open the same files from my home network via laptop. I can't find out the path of the network files so that the path can be copied on the vlc.xml file.
I tried the following //Family-PC/Media/Movies
Network/Family-Pc/Media/Movies
/Family-Pc/Media/Movies
None of them work. I opened the C drive of the laptop via dreambox and it opened perfectly so there is no problem with the IP address or anything. Its just that i cant figure out how to name the network Path
