I have tried to connect to my DM800 using Serial+LAN (done this with the same PC and equipment/LAN with DM500 without problems)
As with many posts here I get the "CA Error" unfortunately I am not trying to flash my box, at least not yet. It is a fully functioning box so what I am trying to do is use Dreamup to BACKUP before I try to flash other images, that way I can fall back to the one it had that works if something goes wrong.
By the way through the web interface I managed to backup the 64MB flash memory. It is really a 64MB file so I guess it is a raw memory dump, which I suppose would contain the image but I suspect it would be totally useless for restoring the box if I start to experiment and something goes wrong.
Can anyone help me on how I can do a proper backup that can be used with dreamup to restore if something goes wrong ?
Hope someone here has figured it out 'cos I read alot about ppl flashing their boxes, but no one seems to back it up first !
