How to get your Dreambox 500-c Working again

Right Guys.
I
have seen alot of questions asked on here about how to get your Dreambox 500-c working again.

So heres a step by step guide on how to do it ok.

Go to the download section (you need to do 5 posts to access this area.
Download the New Diorj 0.6+AUroms dm500 Dreambox 500 i have uploaded in the download section ok.

download it and flash it to your box you'll need your dreambox 500-c and a null modem cable.

when flashing when it asks do you want to perform a flash erase just click no(nein) ok.

then after it has finished flashing

connect everything back up

scan for the channels using bruteforce first,

So do the following when the drambox starts up at the beginning

language english
save
time settings click the down arrow on the screen and choose your time settings.
then click save
then choose automatic transponder
choose bruteforce
wait untill you see start scan (But dont click only free)
then wait for the channels to download
click exit 3 times


then go to
menu,
service searching
choose cable 6887
wait till it says start scan (again do not click only free)
then after it has finished click exit 3 times.
go to sky sports 1.
wait for about 1 minute
everything should be working fine then

i think it was originally on satkings forum but they have vanished and i need it asap

skeel the starview 3 will never work again (once they switch to n3) unless they crack n3 and its not looking likely that they will anytime soon. ,so you may not get long more in any case. as for the dm500c i would think that will be able to be used in the future as it has a lan port.
you can access the downloads section by scrolling up to the very top of all these posts ,you may get firmware from the links in my signature area also. jim25b you should also look in the same places for downloads.
