I have recently inherited a DM500c but am unsure whether it is any use to me being a Virgin Media UK customer.
It looks like I won't even be able to get all the FTA channels equivalent to Freeview here in the UK. If I have read correctly, some of the the FTA channels are encoded on Virgin Media!
Would be nice to get all the channels I am subscribed to on this as a second box - is this possible?
I believe I can record to my PC over the LAN but can I then read them in Win 7 Media Center or XBMC? Even better, can I use the DM500c as a backend to stream to WinMC or XBMC and control channels from there?
Is it of any other use or is it now just a door stop?
