I started to get audio description on a few channels (sky premier, sky sports etc.). At first I thought it may have been something that sky had done to the channels because 4 other people I know had the same problem.
I have just now figured out that it can be turned off by changing the audio for the channel.
When a channel/programme has audio description available (or on), the options you see when you press Audio on your remote will include "NAR" without the quotes (Narative).
All you have to do is select English (or whatever your language is) and the audio description is off.
