I have a dreambox 600pvr.
Installed Gemini 4.7 and "NewCamd Betad v6.10 - complete" from the gemini server with the blue button.
After installation of NewCamd i telnet to the dreambox and with command ps
I can see that there are NewCAmd processes running:
var/bin/betad
var/bin/newcamd
Then I reboot the dreambox. When the dreambox i starting it shows me the message
"please wait starting Newcamd betad 6.10" and after a couple of seconds the dreambox
is up and running.
Now to my problem.
If I now telnet to the dreambox and check processes with ps command I realize that the processes mentioned above have not started!
Restarting the NewCamd betad 6.10 with the blue button on the remote doesn't help, the processes can't be found!
So I can't get NewCamd running after a reboot, the only way to get it running is to delete the NewCamd and install it again.
I guess there has to be some kind of startup script missing/not working. But it's so strange, when it's an issue with a clean image with no modifications!
