Is a Sagem Dbox the same as Dbox2?

Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was asked if I could sort a friends Sagem Dbox.
Do I treat it the same as a Dbox2 in tutorials and software etc?

yes but a sagem can be either i 1x flash or a 2x flash.

but the tuts will explian that further

Yes Exactly the same
Exept there is 2 flavours

theres 1x chip set boxes and 2x chip set boxes and you need to make sure you dont mix up the images. If you flash the wrong image you will have a broken box that then will need to be re-flashed with the correct chip image. Lots of Tutorials out there

Edit: you will also have to make sure its a DBOX2 and not a DBOX1 as the 1 is worthless and is very hard to play with

Yes all Dboxes are the same with different make only one thing is Sagem some of them are x1 chip others are x2 chips check if your Sagem dbox is one of the 2 I have mentioned before you flash any image to it

x1chip flash x1image
x2chips flash x2image

for flashing the right image to your dbox use (F I A) Flashing Image Assistant.

a sagem is always a dbox2 for future reference

but nokia's can be dbox1's and as you say they are pritty usless.
