Just a quick question in regard to Document.

Is it really important to change network card to half duplex? I ask this a mine is set to full and I use Flash FXP and appart from a few button image errors within the program I can FTP just fine.
Also one other question in regard to the IP address that you set, is it important for some reason that the IP of PC be set to one digit lower than DBox? I have mine fixed to 192.168.0.2 and the Dbox set to 192.168.0.9. Again FTP works fine although I do have problems with recording direct to PC's HDD.

Thanks for details on this. Appart from the above I am sure the document will be of great help to people trying to setup there PC's

Th IP address thing is simply that your PC will begin polling from the first address above it's own to establish a connection, if they are too far apart then there is an increased chance of timeout problems, so it's easiest to set your PC to first below the Dbox, although I'm surprised you're having streaming problems when you have them that close.

Edited to add: Great document Salami, wish I had the talent to do that, as an electronics engineer I'm better with the hardware.

Well the streaming is ok, just when I setup the option to record and map the PC HDD on DBox the mount on DBox seems not to work. Whatever I try it wont have it.
Trust me I am quite good with networking but this one been a pain. I guess probably some kind of corruption with my Vista installation on PC but everything else sort of running ok so cant spare the time to reinstall PC, so much sh** on it.
Kind of like DBox TV though can record fine from that so not the end of the world.

          1) Regarding the 1st question you can set up value to automatic or full and still work but it may not work in some boxes half duplex is the best to use for any Communication between dbox and your computer as is not too fast or too slow talking to each other.
          2) The IP setup can be any number at the end as long as different from the dbox IP but again -1 will always be a successful connection as there is a reason for it I have read about it somewhere I’ll promise to comeback to you regarding booth questions as I have some info about them in one of my CD’s about File Transfer Protocol in programming courses I was doing in the College.

          Cheers
