Chirping problems / Laky Stylas + Other Images

Hi lads, been fixing a lot of dbox problems for mates and answering many questions - with help from here, over the last few days. Haven't really had much time to play around with my own dbox.

Another age old problem. Currently running Laky Stylas on a x1 Sagem. It runs ok, but I do get chirping and freezing at least once or twice during an hours viewing - which can only be solved by a full reset. Of course this a pain as it boots quite slowly.

I found Commando 8.25 the better of the images for resolving this issue - but it wasnt perfect. I may have to return to this, or give v10 a whirl.

Im thinking of flashing another image. Anyone out there have the same problem ? How did you get around it ? Or do you recommend another image ? Are older images better on older boxes ? etc etc

It's starting to drive me nuts as my pc is upstairs and my dbox is downstairs. Ive been like a lunatic recently running up and down - ftp'ing files and flashing images. Im hoping to just settle for the best image of the bunch and just live with it.

Any input would be gratefully received. Cheers guys.

Try changing the EMU you're using. I found evocamd cured any chirping/freezing probs, as i was running a different EMU and was getting the problems you describe.
The Falkirk Wheel...... It's the best we can do!

I think I was using that cam - but I will give it a whirl when I flash it. Cheers.
