    EPG question

    Hi there

Anybody know if the EPG is limited to only the current day's programs?

Is it dependant on the image used? Is there any way to get more than one day?

Commando 10 has freddyfrogs 7 day epg feature. it needs a bit of config but it works a treat.

so the answers to your questions are

no epg isnt limited to one day

and yes this is image dependant .

but most of the newer images should give 3 days epg with the right tweaks to the settings.

but 3 days doesnt compare to 7 days in my book

        In Settings > Misc > EPG -

change Cache from 14 to 4
and Long from 6 to 8
and Remove from 1 to 0
and Events from 6000 to 12000

Save settings on the way out, then Reboot. Switch to the PVR_EPG channel for 20 mins, then back to a normal channel.

Press Red then Red, and scroll down to see how much epg you have. Report back for further guidance.

        Cheers- AL

          Thanks for the help AL

Is it normal that the PVR_EPG channel says 'Error - channel not available'?

I am getting more than I was before but only up to about 4 am.

Do you need to do the PVR_EPG thing each time as it might be a bit of a hassle?

Easy m8, just set up a couple of timers to switch to PVR_EPG FOR 20 mins or so in the early hours when your in your bed then another to switch back to the channel of your choice.

As Al as suggested a few times before

                Thanx

That works a lot better, now getting about 1 1/2 days.
But I heard that you can edit the EPG filter, to take out the channels that you do not need the EPG for, to give more EPG to the channels that you do want.
Do you know which file it is and where it is located? Coz I think that I would like to play with that.
                Also using: laky - sylas

That's pretty handy. Never knew that feature was there. I'm going to set up a couple of timers to do this. Cheers.
